What did Hermann Weyl mean by "Under certain circumstances, profanity provides a relief denied even prayer?"?

Prayer is about wishing for good things, sometimes out of frustration, sometimes out of the goodness of heart, with intense yearning. It doesn't provide relief from frustration. Profanity takes the lid off and lets some of the frustration escape. To quote Mark Twain: "When angry, count to 10. When very angry, swear."
