I'm torn between these two compact subwoofers Yamaha YST-SW215PN and Polk Audio PSW 111?

Polk Audio is a much better choice. They make speakers and Yamaha only does it as a carry over from the other product they make. You are not going to hear any notes that low, 20HZ. Hope this will help you out.
